Kangaroo Paw Fern
Microsorum diversifolium is a lovely choice for someone who wants to delve into ferns, but can’t commit to daily babysitting. This one will grow wider, but not much taller than about a foot. It grows pubescent rhizomes that it uses to spread across the ground. This has been one of my favorite new plants. Moderately moist soil and low to medium light is the only requirement for this lovely. Safe for cats, dogs and kids… and you, but still don’t eat it. This is not a good salad.
